    Kazakhstan's Astana was seen getting ready to host the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (SCO) Summit 2024, in footage taken on Monday.

    The video shows city services staff placing banners on the streets of the capital, decorated with flags of SCO member states.

    The 24th SCO Heads of State Council meeting chaired by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will be held in Astana on July 3-4. The SCO comprises India, China, Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

    The leaders of Belarus, Mongolia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Qatar, UAE, Turkmenistan and Turkey, as well as UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, are also expected to attend.

    Kazakhstan's Astana was seen getting ready to host the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (SCO) Summit 2024, in footage taken on Monday.
