Footage taken on Saturday captures viewers interacting with stunning digital artworks and open-air installations, including a simulated wheat field, a setting sun over rippling waves, and a glowing bird's nest with ambient sounds.
Exhibitor Nadine Zakharova, inspired by the Matryoshka doll, transformed it into a sophisticated seven-loop rotation system filled with live recordings of soloists from Russian folk ensembles, creating a meditative dance.
"We decided that it would be a unique seven-loop rotation system. It's a very sophisticated sci-fi technological solution. We filled it with live voices - a recording of real soloists from folk ensembles, the coolest in the country, a live balalaika, a live psaltery," Zakharova said.
Andrey Mikhailovsky, curator of the 'City of Light' media art exhibition, pointed to another installation in the exhibition, 'Russian Field, allowing visitors to experience nature within the bustling city.
The exhibition, running from August 1 to September 8 in Zaryadye Park, features 20 installations by leading creative technology studios and artists from Russia, China, France, Turkey, Peru, Japan, the Netherlands, Thailand, and Uzbekistan.
