The Soyuz MS-26 manned spacecraft successfully docked with the Rassvet mini-research module of the International Space Station’s (ISS) Russian segment on Wednesday.

According to Roscosmos, the Soyuz transported members of the 72nd expedition - cosmonauts Alexei Ovchinin and Ivan Wagner, as well as NASA astronaut Donald Pettit - who would join the 71st expedition crew of three Russian cosmonauts and six American astronauts.
The 72nd long-term expedition to the ISS is expected to last 202 days. The Russian programme includes spacewalks, the arrival of the Progress MS-29 and Progress MS-30 cargo ships, as well as scientific and applied research.
