Ashgabat is preparing to welcome participants of the "Interconnection of Times and Civilisations - the Basis of Peace and Development" International Forum, which is dedicated to the 300th birth anniversary of the outstanding poet and most beloved figure in Turkmen literary history, Magtymguly Pyragy.

The forum will take place on Friday, October 11 and will be attended by the leaders of the Russian Federation, Armenia, Iran, Pakistan, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as delegations from Azerbaijan, Iraq and Turkey.
The heads of the SCO, the Economic Cooperation Organisation, the Turkic Council (TURKSOY), the CIS, the Islamic Organisation, and UNESCO will also attend the forum.
