Description

General Director of the Moscow Zoo Svetlana Akulova announced the birth of twins in a capybara family in her Telegram channel on Sunday.

Footage shows capybara's cubs hiding in the heavy foliage of one of the zoo’s enclosures and cuddling closely together.

"Let's guess who the cubs are? A male, a female, two males, two females? <...> Whoever guesses will give them names," Akulova said in her Telegram channel.

The sex of capybaras is determined two to three months after birth by a distinctive gland on the nose, which is typical only of males.
