Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made a joke during the meeting with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Friday.
"Anything you want to tell us?" Lavrov addressed journalists, reminding them that the closed part of the diplomatic meeting was about to begin.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry's press service, the heads of delegation discussed topical issues of the bilateral strategic partnership and exchanged views on the current international situation, including approaches to resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
Lavrov arrived in New York on Wednesday to take part in events at the UN General Assembly. The minister is also scheduled to attend several bilateral and multilateral meetings, including those of the CSTO, BRICS, G20 and the Group of Friends for the Defence of the UN Charter.
